Some of the best remedies were never written down. They lived in our grandmothers' kitchens, in a pot of something simmering on the stove, in a jar on the windowsill, in the way someone just knew what you needed when you weren't feeling well.
A Month of Sundays is a chance to gather around the table and remember them together. Each Sunday in October, we'll spend an hour making something by hand that you'll take home with you: a tea blend, a jar of elderberry syrup, fresh apple cider, herbs to carry you through winter. You don't need any experience. Just bring yourself.

Motherwort, raspberry leaf, rose, nettle, oatstraw, calendula, and spearmint come together in this restorative loose-leaf tea blend.
Many of these herbs have traditionally supported the body through birth work and periods of transition, while others offer gentle emotional support. Because after the change, after the transition—after the thing—we often need something that helps us begin reaching for ourselves again.
How about a cup of tea?
This blend is named in honor of my great-grandmother, Queen Mother Dara Abubakari. My mother carries her name, and I carry her with me on this journey. As a very memorable, stoic and community centered woman, she was a midwife, an activist, and many other beautiful things.
I often think about the energy surrounding me—the presence of the Mother of my Mothers. That is what this blend encompasses. There isn’t a journey we ever take alone. The memories and presence of the women in our lineage prepare us for the journey. They walk with us, and they are right there when we are recovering.
Because we are all birthing something.

Lavender is celebrated for its peaceful, calming nature, making it a go-to herb for reducing stress and promoting relaxation. It’s also known to offer mild support for the digestive system, helping to alleviate discomfort like bloating. In gardens, lavender is often planted as a border, symbolizing gentle protection and adding both beauty and tranquility to growing spaces.
Cacao, sourced from beans native to Central and South America, holds deep cultural significance and has been a symbol of luxury, indulgence, and spirituality for centuries. Rich in caffeine and theobromine (similar function to caffeine but gentler on the nervous system), cacao nibs are naturally stimulating and packed with essential minerals like magnesium, iron, and zinc. Oatstraw + Lavender + Rose petals
Oatstraw is truly one of the best-kept secrets, and I’m so grateful I was introduced to it during my herbal apprenticeship.
It comes from the same plant as the oats you use for oatmeal, but imagine everything they say about oatmeal — and know that this part of the plant is way more potent! In fact, it’s known as the “hug in a cup.”
Allow yourself to be wrapped in the softness of one of the gentlest blends we offer. You deserve it. Virtual hugs included.
For an extra refreshing twist, try adding peppermint or spearmint to the blend. Clear your schedule, sip slowly, and let this soothing tea work its magic.
